As a Data Engineer, you’ll help build systems that enable smarter decisions and drive real-world impact, all with a caring approach, a pioneering mindset, and a focus on excellence. Be part of the healthcare transformation!

Job Description

As a Data Engineer at Invinite, you will have the opportunity to delve into the efficient processing and refinement of health data. We specialise in the health sector and are committed to supporting our clients in building superior data capabilities, harnessing research data, implementing artificial intelligence solutions, and developing applications that address the everyday needs of professionals. Our work is grounded in open solutions and modern technologies, underpinned by a deep understanding of the sector’s distinctive characteristics and regulatory environment.

Your primary responsibility as a Data Engineer will be to design, implement and maintain data pipelines, data warehouses and analytical environments that enable the efficient use of data within organisations. You will work closely with our team of Data Architects and Data Scientists, as well as with our clients, ensuring that the solutions developed reliably and securely support their objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design & Implementation: Create data pipelines and information management solutions that address the specific requirements and regulatory constraints of the healthcare sector.

  • Infrastructure Development: Construct scalable, modern data infrastructures that cater to both analytics needs and the adoption of artificial intelligence.

  • Solution Modelling: Develop solution models based on open technologies (e.g. Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP).

  • Data Quality & Security: Ensure the quality, integrity and security of data – including when processing large volumes such as research and clinical data.

  • Collaborative Optimisation: Work alongside other experts to design and optimise solutions, and to resolve issues that emerge in the day-to-day operations of healthcare providers.

  • Best Practices: Contribute to the creation and dissemination of best practices both within our organisation and among our clients.

What We Expect From You

  • Practical experience with data integrations, data warehouses and data pipeline tools.

  • Proficiency in programming languages and technologies such as SQL, Python, PySpark and R, along with an interest in open solutions.

  • A solid understanding of cloud-based services (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP) and the opportunities they afford for data processing.

  • Insight into how health data can be processed in a modern, scalable and efficient manner.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to develop even better solution models in collaboration with both clients and the team.

  • A keen interest in keeping up-to-date with new technologies and methodologies.

  • Strong Finnish language skills

An Advantage If You Have

  • An understanding of healthcare standards and clinical data models (e.g. FHIR, HL7, OMOP) or experience in handling research data.

  • Experience in operationalising machine learning solutions or other analytical methods.
